Tasman 7s teams national trophy hopes end with overtime losses

The Turf Hotel Tasman men made it all the way to the top tier Cup competition after topping their pool before eventually suffering a 26-21 overtime loss to Auckland in Sunday's plate final. The women's team were also deniedlosing 24-19 in overtime to Taranaki in the women's bowl final. The Tasman men finished a creditable sixth and the women 10th overall.
