Nelson College won the Quadrangular Tournament with a comprehensive 29 – 5 victory in the Final against Christ’s College on the Front Field yesterday. Nelson College made the Final on the back of a 24 – 5 win over heavyweights Wellington College on Monday. Christ’s College had defeated Wanganui Collegiate 13 - 7 in Monday’s other fixture.

Nelson College’s two victories also meant two successful defences of the Moascar Cup.

On the weekend, Marlborough Boys' College showed both character and depth to see off Burnside High School 35-12 in Blenheim. Crucial mistakes in the second half cost Waimea Combined Schools as they went down 40 – 12 to St Andrew’s College in Christchurch.
