Rob Nichol, the CEO of the NZ Rugby Players Association, is speaking to a fundraising meeting of the Rotary Club of Nelson next Thursday 20 June, at the Bowls Tahunanui Club Rooms, Tahunanui Drive, Nelson from 5.30 pm.
Rob is never far from the media. Whether it is on the recent Crusaders incidents in South Africa or the Israel Folau situation, Rob is always asked for his opinion.
“We are fortunate to have Rob come and speak in Nelson on Thursday 20 June giving us an insight into what happens behind the scenes, in this “no holds” barred opportunity to ask all those questions we want to know the answer to, whether its Professional rugby, schoolboy rugby, what players earn, what do rugby players do when they retire, Rob will be able to answer all your questions.
The evening will be the chance to meet and chat with him on an informal basis“, said Rotary Nelson President, Jenny Dickie.
While Rob lives in Pokeno, South Auckland, on a lifestyle block, he was born in Invercargill, has been a qualified accountant and been in the Police before turning his talents to help run the NZRPA from its infancy.
Admission is $20 per person and finger food will be provided. There will be a cash bar operating and an auction of rugby memorabilia and other items. Numbers will be limited so please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by Tuesday 18 June
The Rotary Club of Nelson is raising funds in order to help the Nelson community.
