Waimea women have to work hard for win

An impressive defensive effort from Wanderers meant that Waimea needed to work for every try.
Waimea built together phases with some great line breaks supported well by a loose forward combo that was hungry for work and a full back who had the vision for “where to next”.
Not to be outdone, Wanderers strong forward pack certainly put their hand up at set piece time giving them the front foot on more than one occasion.
At the end of the day, a patient and clinical Waimea side took out the game 34-8.
Over the Whangamoa, Motueka High School outplayed Awatere, registering a 50-nil win at Seddon Domain.
