Semi Finals this weekend

After 11 rounds the Final Four has been decided, with Waimea Old Boys taking out the Minor Premiership and the right to play 4th placed Waitohi in a semi-final at Jubilee Park. In the other 2 v 3 semi-final, Marist will host Wanderers at Trafalgar Park. Both games kick off at 3pm.

The shock result of the final round was the defeat of previously first placed Marist by previously last placed Renwick.  The Green Machine came up with five tries to shut out Marist 33-17, Marist forfeiting top spot on the table. Fourth placed Waitohi also enter the semi-finals with a last round loss, having been hammered by Kahurangi 50-17.

Elsewhere, Waimea Old Boys held off a fast finishing East Coast 40-33, a late intercept try clinching the win and the Minor Premiership, Wanderers retained 3rd spot by seeing off a plucky Moutere team 37-24 while Central trounced Stoke 60-15.
