Renwick’s Josh Holdaway runs hard at the Waitohi defence

In Motorworld Marlborough Division 1 semi-final action, Moutere produced an irresistible second half surge to comfortably overcome Central 47-14 and book their berth in the Final decider. Renwick went toe-to-toe with Waitohi before gaining late ascendancy at Lansdowne Park to emerge 29-20 victors.

In Division 2, Marlborough College Old Boys prevailed 15-7 over Renwick, while Moutere earned the other Final spot with a 45-24 win over Central.

In Women’s semi-final action, Moutere beat Waimea OB 46-12 to book a final at Lansdowne Park against Marist at 12.30pm on Saturday.

In The Car Company Nelson Bays Division 1 semi-finals, Nelson eventually scored three second half tries to sneak past Marist 21-16 at Trafalgar Park, while Wanderers withstood a late Waimea Old Boys rally to clinch a tight 30-26 win at Brightwater.

The Division 2 Final will be a Battle of the Bridge, after both Motueka based clubs won their semi-finals. Top seed Riwaka accounted for Stoke while Huia outplayed Collingwood 42-23. Riwaka will host the Final against Huia.
