Waimea Old Boys took almost 100 minutes to do it, but have claimed the Car Company Nelson Bays second division rugby title after a thrilling win over Wanderers at Brightwater Domain.
With the sides locked up at 20-all after regular time, Waimea crossed the chalk after 18 minutes of extra time to upset the hosts 27-20.
Wanderers clawed their way back from a 20-8 deficit to square it up with less than 10 to play.
