The first round of the E’stel Tasman Trophy commences this Saturday and is sure to bring exciting local club rugby to a ground near you.

The Tasman Trophy senior club competition is here yet again, and we are pleased to have E’stel Beverages on board as naming rights sponsor. This is the best senior rugby competition in the South Island. Every year it produces Mako, Super, NZ Under 20 and NZ 7s players. I’m positive the quality of the rugby will enthral spectators and introduce us to the stars of the future.

Tasman's Te Puoho Stephens has been called up for an All Blacks Sevens debut at next week's Las Vegas tournament. "Te Puoho has had a couple of years for Tasman at the national sevens and in our development programme this season, so it is a great opportunity for him," says coach Clark Laidlaw.

Marlborough & Nelson Bays Sub-Unions will host their AGMs on 11 March & 12 March respectively.

The TRU high performance team are looking for a highly motivated and hardworking Strength and Conditioning Intern to join us for the 2019 Mitre 10 Cup Campaign from July – end of October.

The Tasman Rugby Union (TRU) along with the Tasman Rugby Referees are seeking applications for a Referee Education Officer to manage the development, promotion and implementation of initiatives that increase the recruitment, retention, training and education of referees.
