As Chair, he provides leadership and governance across the organisation, while remaining passionate about supporting community rugby, developing future talent, and ensuring the Tasman Mako continue to represent the region with pride.
Tony Healey
Tony has a long-standing connection with Tasman Rugby Union, having previously served nine years on the Board, including as Deputy Chair. He returned to the Board in 2025, bringing a wealth of governance, financial, and commercial expertise. Passionate about the long-term success of rugby in the region, Tony plays an important role in supporting the union's sustainability, strengthening relationships, and helping ensure a strong future for Tasman Rugby both on and off the field.
David Inch
David has a lifelong connection to rugby in the Tasman region as a former Nelson Bays representative player and captain, and a long-time supporter of community rugby. Representing Nelson Bays on the Tasman Rugby Union Board, he brings strong local knowledge, business experience, and a passion for ensuring rugby continues to thrive across the region. David is committed to supporting both the grassroots game and the pathways that lead to the Tasman Mako.
Juliet Gibbons
Juliet brings expertise in people, culture, leadership, communications and marketing, and organisational development to her role. Passionate about creating positive environments where people can thrive, she is committed to supporting the future growth of rugby across the region. Juliet's fresh perspective and enthusiasm for learning contribute valuable insight as she develops her governance experience within the Tasman Rugby whānau.
Michael Parker
Michael brings extensive financial and business expertise to the Tasman Rugby Union Board. Passionate about supporting local organisations and communities, he is committed to helping rugby thrive across the region. His governance experience and commercial insight play an important role in supporting the continued growth and success of Tasman Rugby.
Mike Fraser
Mike brings extensive business leadership experience and strong regional connections to the Tasman Rugby Union Board. Based in Motueka, he is passionate about supporting the communities that underpin rugby across the region. He has also been involved in rugby coaching for more than 25 years, including two seasons as Tasman Mako forwards coach. His practical approach and commitment to the long-term success of the game help strengthen both community rugby and the Tasman Mako.
Bevan King
A passionate advocate for rugby in Marlborough, Bevan is committed to supporting the growth of the game at all levels and especially with an emphasis on the community game, ensuring strong pathways for players, coaches, and volunteers across the region. He has been involved with the game for his local Club Renwick since the 70’s and is a proud life member of the Club. His local insight and dedication to the rugby community make him a valued contributor to the ongoing success of Tasman Rugby.
Tim King
As Mayor of Tasman District and a long-time supporter of rugby in the region, including through his involvement with Wanderers Rugby Club, Tim is passionate about the positive impact sport has on communities. Tim's strategic perspective and commitment to the region help support the continued growth and success of Tasman Rugby at both the community and representative levels.
